There is no greater recognition than a client's work touching lives and hearts.
When @the_blankcheque got in touch with me and asked me to help edit her book, I was beyond angry -- I was enraged.
But I had to keep it together and focus on the job I was entrusted with. These were my exact words: "Sorry, I needed the day to compose myself before writing back to you. I'm so sorry for all that you've had to endure."
Through her gut-wrenching experience, somehow, a glimmer of hope peeps through. Hope that women (and men) can find the strength to safely get away from abusers.
Her ordeal and words have touched many readers, and I'm humbled to play a small role in getting her story published.
